Jeremiah 49:34-39 (reconsidered)

The word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, against Elam, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying, “This says the LORD of hosts; ‘Behold, I will break the bow* of Elam, the principle force of their power.”‘
“Upon Elam will come four cruel spirits from heaven, to scatter Elam to the wind. The outcasts will be hidden in foreign nations and Elam will be concealed and besieged. Elam will be broken into pieces before her adversaries, those that beseech their souls.”
“Then, I will send evil upon her adversaries, fierce anger.” saith the LORD. “Swords will be sent out after her adversaries, until they have have been consumed.”
“Then, I will set a throne in Elam.

I will destroy the Supreme Leader* and the generals.*” saith the LORD.
And in the Last Days, Elam will return from exile to their former state of prosperity.” saith the LORD.

Supreme Leader
In Hebrew, Melek directly translates to ” king, ruler, or to rule.” In some contexts, Malak is translated as a verb meaning “to rule or to reign”. The noun translation of Malak is “messenger.” or “angel”. Malak is the root word for Melek according to Strong’s Concordance. So, the idea of a King like Leader who is also a messenger fits here.

Parallel Prophecies of Elam
Daniel 8:1-15 (reconsidered)
In the third year of the kingdom of King Belshazzar (of Babylon), I, Daniel saw a vision that appeared unto me. After the first vision, I saw another vision. In the first vision , I saw the palace at Shushan in the province of Elam. The next vision I saw was by the river of Ulai.
When I lifted up my eyes, I saw standing in front of the river a Ram (strength) which had a horn (power) and the horn (power) was arrogant and united in one last, double, arrogant uprising.
I saw the ram (strength) making war westward, and northward, and southward. The (Divine Breath) rose up against him, to snatch power from his hand. The ram did according to his will and increased in might.
As I was considering this, a Goat returned, besieging from the western face of the earth, but touched not the ground. The returning Goat has notable vision, power (horn) and insight. The Goat besieged the Ram (strong) man (Baal). (the same Ram with a horn (power) that I saw standing by the river). The Ram rushed the Goat with a fury (venom; blood in Hebrew) of force (a large lizard; chameleon) .
I saw the Goat strike violently against the Ram, provoking it and striking it until the Ram’s horn (power) broke into two powers (horns). The (large lizard;chameleon) Ram (strength) stood up before the Goat so the Goat tread up on him and threw the Ram out of the land (country). No one could deliver the Ram out of the Goat’s hand. The returning Goat was quickly magnified and increased.
From the mighty horn (power) that was broken, came up four, striking in appearance, the four Spirits (winds) of heaven, united.
Yasa, (avenger, savior), a little (small) horn (power), a remnant, increasing south (Negev) and east (Gaza, Jordon, Saudi Arabia) of the beautiful (gazelle) land (Israel). Increasing into a host, an army of men ready for war in (with) the heavens (air; sky), overthrowing a host, an army of men ready for war, and the (a) prince (star) of the land, and trampling them down (oppressing).
The magnified prince of the host (mass of men (army) is daily exulted and lifted up. The foundation of the holy sanctuary (temple) is cast down. The host (army; mass of people) causes continual transgression, casting truth (stability; the faithful) to the ground; committed to pushing forward.
I heard the first Holy One speaking to another Holy One saying, “Certainly! Tell insight concerning the daily transgression and desolation of the Holy place (Holy things) by the treacherous (fraudulent, deceitful, dishonest, crafty) mass of people (host; army)”. So, he said “A thousand, three hundred evenings and mornings (arab) then the Holy place (Holy things) will be made right. (cleansed)
I, Daniel, saw the vision, and desired to understand it. Then, standing in view before me, a warrior as the appearance of a man.
Daniel 8:16-27 (reconsidered)
I heard Adam’s (a human being’s) voice on the banks of Ulai calling out and saying, “Gabriel, help this man understand the vision. “So, Gabriel came near beside where I stood and when he came, I was terrified and fell down before him. He said, ” Understand, son of Adam: this vision is for the end of time.” Gabriel spoke while I was in a deep sleep before him with my face toward the ground. So, he touched my shoulder, and set me upright saying, “Understand the indignation of the end days is an appointed time (day) at the end.
The Ram (strong male Leader) you saw, master of two horns (powers); the kings (rulers) of Media (Azerbaijan and Kurdistan) and Persia (Iran). The tempestuous male goat, is the king of miry clay, (yawan)* with a mighty horn (epic power) and eyes (to see) (insight) a former kingdom that was destroyed.
Four rise up. Four Gentile kingdoms (nations) rise up in strength in the end times. A kingdom of quarrelsome transgressors ends. A king of fierce countenance and the understanding of puzzles, trickery and hard questions arises. This king’s ability to become powerful comes from an unclean, creeping reptile (lizard, chameleon, snake). He shall corrupt the miraculous by making it profitable work thus corrupting the powerful holy people (flock).
Through his intelligence he deceives, pushing forward his hand (direction, agenda) and twists hearts by offering false security and peace but he will destroy (corrupt; ruin) abundantly. When he stands against the Prince of princes, he will be crushed to pieces without force.
The vision of evenings and the mornings, which was promised, is true. The vision (revelation) will be kept secret for a multitude of days.
I, Daniel, became sick for days, devastated by the understanding of the vision. Afterward, I rose up to do the king’s work,
*the word here is Yawan (Hebrew) is usually translated Greece in this verse. Yawan is a person in Genesis 10, the 4th son of Japheth, making him an ancestor of the Ionian and Greek people. BUT this word can also mean mire or mud poetically in Hebrew. (Google AI) Perhaps, the connection to the interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar dreamed is part of what Daniel was asked to conceal. By saying “Yawan” (H3120) instead of the more specific term “Miry Clay”(H2917) when writing the interpretation of his dream here, he conceals the specific identity of the Miry Clay kingdom until the end times, when people need to know who this is. We interpret and understand the end times by “watching” what’s happening in the Middle East and reading God’s word with “eyes to see”. Jesus commanded us to do both.
Ezekiel 32:24-25 (reconsidered)
There is Elam, a noisy, tumultuous, disquieted crowd with abundant riches and graveyards all round. All of them cut down by swords and drought. They have descended uncircumcised into the depths (nether parts) of the earth. We have been delivered from their terror in the land of the living. They have borne their shame with them down to the pit. Put in their graves among the profane multitude, graves all around; all uncircumcised and slain by the sword. Their terror avenged in the land of the living. They have borne their shame with them down to the pit and have been cast among the dead..
