Zephaniah 1:14-18 (reconsidered)
The Great* Day (Yom) of Jehovah, our Kinsman Redeemer, is approaching. Very soon, the day of the passionate calling-out* of Jehovah will be at hand.

Afterward, Jehovah, the Mighty Warrior will bitterly shout* the battle cry.
This is the Day (Yom) of wrath.*
This is the Day (Yom) of adversity* and anguish.
This is the Day (Yom) of destruction* and ruin*.
This is the Day (Yom) of death* and darkness*.
This is the Day (Yom) of mighty thunder storms with heavy rain, hail and lightening.
This is the Day (Yom) of the lowering of the sky.*

This is the Day (Yom) the shofar* blasts* to gather the grapes * to the city guarded by the exalted cornerstone*.

The adversary of mankind will walk around blind, bearing the blame for the harm he has done against Jehovah.* The blood of humans shall pour forth onto the dust of the earth and their bodies shall become dung.

Silver and gold* will not be able to snatch them away* in the Day (Yom) of Jehovah’s outburst of wrath. The land (earth)* shall be consumed by the flames of jealousy* making a speedy end* of all that dwell in the land (earth).
