Matthew 18:12-14
“What if a certain man had a hundred sheep, and one of them wandered away (from safety, truth or virtue)? Does he not leave the ninety and nine, and traverse over the mountains, seeking the one who was seduced to wander (from safety, truth and virtue)?” *

And if it comes to pass that he finds the lost sheep, surely, I say to you, he will rejoice more over finding his lost sheep, than of the ninety and nine who did not wander away.”
“Likewise, it is not the will of your Father, who is in heaven, that even one of the least of you should be lost.”
Safety, truth and virtue
The Greek word used for “wander away” is planao. This word includes the idea of being deceived or seduced or caused to roam or wander away from safety and that which is true and virtuous.
