Alas, Sovereign God! Speak using proverbs and parables.
Ezekiel 20:49 (reconsidered)
Matthew 25:1-16 (reconsidered)

In the future…..
The kingdom of heaven assimilates* ten virgins, who continually take their own lamps and go out to meet the bridegroom.
Five of the virgins are thoughtful*, and five of them are foolish*.
The foolish virgins take their own lamps, but no olive oil* with them when they go out to meet the bridegroom.
The thoughtful virgins always take extra olive oil in their own jars* along with their lamps, when they go out to meet the bridegroom.
Now,when the bridegroom takes his time to come*, all ten virgins lie down to rest and fall sleep.
In the midst of the night, an outcry* arises. “Behold, the bridegroom is coming. Go out* to meet him.” *3
So, all the self-same virgins awakened, and trim the charred wick of their lamps (put their lamps into working order).
Then, the foolish virgins said to the thoughtful virgins, “Give us oil out of your oil because our lamps have been extinguished.” *4
The thoughtful virgins responded, saying “No. Perhaps there will not be sufficient enough oil for us and you.” “So, instead, go your way* (through trial and testing) toward the market and barter olive oil for yourselves.” We bid you farewell (a wish of well-being)”.* So, the foolish virgins go their way, to barter for olive oil, at the market.
So, while they are at the market to purchase oil, the bridegroom appears. The virgins who had already prepared their lamps arose and entered in with the bridegroom to the Marriage Feast. Then, the entrance* (portal) is closed.
Afterward, the remaining virgins also came out to meet the bridegroom, calling out, “Lord, Lord, open up the entrance for us!” * But the bridegroom responded, “Truly* (truthfully), I tell you, I did not see you come before me so I do not know you.” “Farewell (a wish of well-being)”.
Therefore, “Arise and stay awake!” * Because you cannot discern clearly the day nor the moment in which the Son of Man (the bridegroom) will appear. *7

*2 2 Peter 3:9-10 (reconsidered)
The Lord is not slack announcing his coming (fulfilling his promise), as some rulers of men are slack; to the contrary, The Lord is patient and controls his anger toward us, not willing (desiring) anyone be bid “Farewell” (left or sent away), but that all enter into repentance. The day of the Lord will arrive like a thief at mid-night.
*3 Revelation 18:4-5 (NKJV)
